Message The ignition timing on pumpfuel was 18^
The ignition timing on racefuel was 18^ up to 1.6bar
The timing was bumped up to 23^ for 1.7bar and 1.8bar as EGTs were climbing too high at 18^ timing advance.

The timing advance was a requirement to manage the EGTs and keep them below 850C. Without doing this, I would fear damaging the engine/turbos with excessive EGT. With the fuel we were using, the A/F ratio, and the compression ratio of Dee's engine, I could have easily walked it up to 27-28 degrees without fear of detonation. With all things considered, I didn't want to break anything and the tuning parameters used were the requirements to maintain everything within safe margins.
